With a zeal to serve our country, Kevin enlisted in the United States Army in 2009. At the conclusion of his Basic Combat Training, Kevin was selected to attend the rigorous Army Officer Candidate School in Ft. Benning, Georgia. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant.
After more training in Virginia, Kevin was sent to the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. Within one month, Kevin was deployed to Afghanistan for combat near the Pakistan border. Over the next year Kevin would lead a platoon of close to 40 Soldiers through the rigors of deployed life.
In 2014 Kevin was selected for promotion to Captain and went for advanced training with Officers from around the nation and globe in Ft. Lee, VA. Once graduated, Kevin was sent to the storied 101st Airborne Division where he earned the Air Assault Badge. Kevin was selected for Company Command in the famous 3rd Brigade “Rakkasans”.
After command Kevin would move his young family to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD where he worked in the 20th Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosive Command. Kevin’s assignment here would take him to Korea several times to help plan joint ROK US exercises.
In 2017, Kevin was selected as a First State Scholar at Delaware Law School. He left active duty and joined the Delaware National Guard as his desire to serve in uniform remained strong. Kevin currently serves as a Captain working in the Delaware National Guard Joint Headquarters in the Beau Biden Reserve Center in New Castle.
